Alongside its cloud provider integrations, Nodex lets you connect your own VPS as a node. To do so, select the Custom VPS option when creating a new node.

Minimum requirements

Before you install, make sure your server meets the following requirements:
  • The server must be running a 64-bit Linux distribution with systemd (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux).
  • The server must be reachable from the internet.
  • No firewall or security group should block inbound traffic on Nodex’s operational port (3400 by default) or outbound HTTPS and DNS traffic.
  • You must have root access to the server to run the installer.
  • The server should have at least 1 CPU core, 1 GB of RAM, and 10 GB of disk space.
  • The server must have curl or wget installed.
  • The server’s data directory must be on local disk, not a network-mounted filesystem.
